new cham question

i got my new cham 3 days ago and since then he hasnt tocuhed any plant he have been on the branches at the top of the cage. he have 2 ficus 1 photos and 1 palm tree. is that normal for a verrucosus? oh and he ate just like 4 crickets from my hand.
