What journals are there?

tsusnakeguy Mar 02, 2006 11:45 AM

I would really appreciate if someone could tell me the names of a few journals that would be good to look at. I am planning on doing a research program in my senior year of undergrad and I need to find some journals where people have done research on snake populations. That way I can get an idea on their findings and any menthods I may not know. I know a couple of journals but I would love to know more. Also if anyone knows of any reserach in the South Alabama, South Georgia, and North Florida regions or knows where to find an article on that, it would be greatly appreciated.

...please tell me this is a bad joke....surely university seniors are not going online looking for directions to the professional literature...doesnt your school have a library...w/staff & computer terminals??? Ck out the Agricola & Silver Platter databases...then find a quiet corner & read to learn...its one of lifes greatest acheivements

My school does not have a very good library especially when it comes to things like scholarly science journals. So I need all the help I can get from anyone else out there.

"Journal of Herpetology", "Copea", "Herpetological Review", etc.

Look also at the "Society for the Study of Amphibians and Reptiles (SSAR)" website for more ideas. Check out natural history book dealers (e.g., Eric Thiss of Serpents Tales, Mike Dee, etc.) and surf the web. You should be able to find what you need. Good luck.
