Lost a snake

tnball Mar 02, 2006 03:05 PM

I really need some suggestions regarding a female that got loose - how she did it, I do not know, cage was clamped and everything. I looked in the obvious places (behind the fridge/stove/all appliances - in drawers and boxes, under furniture)..she has been locked up with one of males prior to this, so I would REALLY like to find her...Any ideas on how to lure her out? She is a picky eater who only eats live food, so leaving a f/t rat in a roon might not work - although I will try it - I'll try anything at this point! Any suggestions would be appreciated
Thanks!

Maybe put a like mouse in a bucket or can? sometingthe snake can get in , but the mouse can't? Have something to make coming out harder than getting in? Really hope you find her.

I went to the pet store and bought one of those balls that little rodents can run around in and put a small mouse in it - no luck, but the trap looks pretty neat, I might try that. I might also try to get a gerbil, although I had one as a kid and don't know if I could let a snake eat it, and the last thing I need is another furry animal - can't exactly put it outside like a dog or cat. Setting the montion detector up tonight, maybe that will catch it to. Thanks for the help! I will let you know WHEN I find her.
