I have a red bellied turtle and a river cooter or something common I don't remember my mom bought him when I was looking for a tortoise(she has a real weak spt for turtles). I usually keep snakes and some lizards and am not as knowledgable about turtles. My red bellied is a little stunted in it's growth but is doing O.K (I got him when I was like 7 after he went the wrong way to water and ended up in a condo area, not very smart) IT is a male about 5 years old. He has been chasing the female around but she seems to have no interest in him. He has never done this before. She is about 2 and not too large but still growing fast. When the female stops he flails his paws at her. I know I sound a little stupid but I have trouble describing it, and them. They were my first animals and I wasn't as smart about animals as I am now. Are they breeding, what should I do if they are. Would the eggs be infertile as I don't brmate or do turtles even need to be brmated to mate. Whenever I go to where I caught my male the turtles are always out. Sorry for mistakes or troubles in understanding but I am tired and about to go to sleep.
