I did a search for fruit flies and found several sources,Ed's fly meat and fluker farms. I even found several of the terrarium supply companies that also sold fruit flies and supplies for them like T&C terrariums and black jungle. Since I just started with this hobby I cant speak for price or reliability. But i know the people on this message board will have lots of info to share. As it turns out the breeder set me up with a started kit for $20 with 10 deli cups and a huge ziploc bag of mix. any suggestions for other types of food? would crickets work?
I use a regular member here named Josh. He's great at answering questions in this forum or via email and he sell good media and ships fast.
Good Luck.

Patrick at Saurian also advertises here, and has kits containing deli-cups, lids, media, etc. So you have a big choice. I have never compared media, either in price or quality. I just got fruit flies and media from Patrick with my first frogs; it worked fine with no problems, and I have just stayed with it.
You can use all sorts of other live, moving food, such as springtails (very easy to culture, essential for tiny thumbnail or pumilio froglets, and I think you can get a start from both Ed's Flymeat and Josh,) pinhead crickets, rice worms, phoenix worms, and various field plankton collected with a net in season, or stuff like aphids, put in the tank still on the leaves. (No, they won't infect you tank, believe it or not.) Field plankton must be collected from known pesticide-free areas. Variety is nice, but the mainstay and most reliable are fruit flies. I order pinhead crickets about three times a year, but raising crickets is a big pain in the butt, and unless you have a lot of other herps that will eat larger sizes of them it isn't worth the bother for dart frogs alone.

Patrick at Saurian is the breeder where I got my azureus pair and set me up with my fruit fly startes kit. The kit came with the first 2 cultures already producing flies. It was a really good deal from what I have seen available
