heat tape need advice

nygaboon Jul 27, 2003 07:34 PM

Ok. I have two 18 quart sterilite sweater boxes that need to be heated. Never used heat tape before but I'm considering it. I've got the two boxes and a 1/2 10 gallon tank on a rack and I'd like to heat all three with one source. Will it heat them effectively and/or will it melt the plastic?

You could use pads or tape. Just wire them to dimmers or plug them into a rheostat.
If it is hot enough to melt the plastic you will have toasted your snakes...so that isn't the issue.
