humidity and temps.

sandler Mar 03, 2006 07:19 AM

I was told many different things on were to put the themometres. Some have said on the substrate and others said high up on the glass. Also should i have 1 of each per side of the tank. I was thinking of just laying them down then moving them around to check for temp and humidity levels. thanks again

I use a temp gun and think it is the greatest thing since gutloaded crickets. The surface temps are what are important when looking at temperatures. As for humidity you can read that nearly anywhere.

I keep a zoo med temp and humidity gages on the warm side of the enclosure. Kisrmy is nearing 2 years of age with this set up being the case in all the enclosures she has been in and she is no worse for wear.
