How fast is to fat for a leo to put on weight. Cuz sunshine is becoming a porker. She has gained about 10 grams (9.8to be exact) in about 2 weeks. Kinda fast aint it. I have always been told to feed them for about 15 min or until she stops. But she would go all night if she had a chance. When we brought her home she weighed in at 35g and this morning she was at 44.2g She wa said to be about 6 months old but damnnn lol. My male I assumed was about the same age bu the is only 31 grams. Is she getting obese or is my male just under weight?

Sorry I can't ansewer your question,but I to have a female that eats me out of house and home.I got her 2 months old and here is a picture of her at 3 months.I am to cheap to buy a scale but you can tell how big she is in my hand.So I to would like to see if she is to fat .

I got my leos on tuesday and I weighed them again today the male gained 3 grams in 5 days and females gained 2

When I first got my leos they were about 18g and they gained about five to ten grams every week and they ate like pigs. Now they're about 55g and my female is bigger than my male who supposed to be older. I guess the females just like to eat lol.

both of my leo's have put on weight quite fast also. They gain approximately 15grams a month for me. Even a small leo I have that is supposed to be 3-4 months old is already at 50 grams.
Leo's appear to be growing faster.

What I do is keep a chart, I weigh them a few times, but I only write their weigh down on a once a month basis, so I can have records and see exactly how much they are growing each month.

I have a feeling that sometimes in the case of young leos they were probably housed together and now without the battle for food they eat much more freely. And also with older ones sometimes they might probably been fed a lighter diet, so they have some catchin up to do!!! Since I leave a dish of mealies in their cage at all times, I guess its like having a fully stocked fridge, LOL youre gonna pig out now and then.

Also I posted about my 7 month old leo female who is at 70 grams, because I was worried since she already has bubbles under her arms, (Wich is just another place they store fat), and I thought they didnt get that tilll they were older, but everyone on the forum said it was fine, so I wouldnt be worried about too much weight until their adults.
