okay, i dont know if i have written to you b4 but try Shed Aid, that is what it is called. It works!! you just spray it on and let it sit then you try to pull the skin off, but you need to be carefull. it has worked on all mine except one gecko and i have 23!

do you have Petcos or Petsmarts up there? if not you can order it from this website www.reptilesupply.com. they have it listed under medication, just click on it and it should pop up. its only $3.49 us dollars. it is actually like $8 when i get it form the store. anyways i REALLY recomemd it! and if it doesnt work its totally worth a try to help your little one for just a few dollars. all though shipping will add an on a few more. they also have other cool supplies. Check it out.

I will check the local petsmart. When pulling off the skin do you start from the top or bottom. Sorry about all the questions. thanks guys.

you kinda treat it like a glove. start from the top meaning the part closest to the ankle. i guess thats how i would explain it. just be carefull becuase if the shed has been stuck for a long time the toes will be week and fall off easily!

thanks again. Just out of curiosity whats is different from warm water and the shed aid?
thanks.

you know im not sure because im at work but whatever it is it makes all the difference in the world!!! because i was having your problem also b4 i tried it and now i never have problems but i have also changed my cages sense and very rarely use it.
i think it is mostly water based but has some other stuff in it that makes it work great!

ok. i guess you found it easier and more effective than a warm bath. im going to check petsmart

fattiesnleos Mar 03, 2006 01:16 PM

ya the bath didnt do a thing for me and i tried it many times with several different geckos. also check out your misting question.

You have to do more than bathing them but that doesn't work. Take a wet q-tip and start from where the starts furthest from the toe-nail. Put it where the shed starts and pull back towards yourself while spinning the q-tip forward. With a little practice it'll come off fast and easy.
