Our female went off feed the first winter but not this recent one. I think it is individual preference.
My opinion of the few "non-feeders" I have heard of? You Pituophis guys keep them too cool. It is Pituophis dogma that they gurge when kept too hot. Ours NEVER see temps less than 78 and have hot spots at 90-92 available. Remember, if given a choice they will pick the temps they feel most comfortable in. IMHO, if they gurge it is due to other reasons and temps get blamed.
Ours have never gurged. Even when fed huge meals. Our pair is eating medium rats currently. We hope for our first babies in 2007.
