WEEK IN REVIEW!!!!!

toshamc Mar 03, 2006 05:57 PM

Sunday night there was a nice chat session this week with Kevin (NERD) – transcripts are available:
Transcript of Kevin's Chat

Three longest threads of the week:

Bad Customer Service

Skunks and other fuzzies

Not sure this was the right forum for this thread….
Super Tiger Retic Thread

A request for some background from those that “got lucky”. Big breeders need not apply. And someone really needs to buy Aaron (aka ABX) a new camera – we’d like to see some really nice shots of those (super) sables. Beautiful animals!

Three threads on Shipping Temperatures …. Bottom line – if you don’t feel comfortable shipping then don’t. for more information on Fedex’s cargo hold temps please check the following thread – Thanks for the follow-up Jay. forums.kingsnake.com/view.php?id=1020004,1020004

Support your local Herper … Should we only buy our herping supplies from those that share our hobby? I like the concept – but lets face it some things you can just get cheaper elsewhere, should we only buy out tubs from a reptile supplier if we can get them from office depot for $2.00 cheaper (and no shipping? Should we buy our crocks from a reptile supplier if we can get them at the dollar store for 1/3 the cost? Should we pay $16 for PAM when $6 equate bedding spray will do the same job? We only buy racks from those that make them instead of build them ourselves? Where do we draw the line?

I’d say more than worth the wait Mark and Jaynes new Clown and Lesser (Markus Jayne)

A day made (swich)

A pretty new girl (havic)

New Spider (boobubba)

PICTURE OF THE WEEK Awesome pastel shot (odysseyreptiles)

Gotta love those funky females (Kevin_Arbogast)

Interesting Mojo Pict (Camlon Reptiles)

Just some 05 babies – yeah just some extremely beautiful babies (JCarr1)

A real nice looking hypo (quantim0)

WOW Graziani Pewter - that is one beautiful snake! congrats Adrian (AFR)

How I’d love to have this project in the works … (tbmorphs)

Comparing Siblings … Ok with snakes but not with your own children (MarkS)

Speaking of Pewters … (swich)

Just a normal (firefighter48)

Off topic (albinosunlimited)

Cool Ringer (I’d say its more than just cool - LOL) (chrissgristle1)

Another stellar shot courtesy of Royal Variations

VPI Axanthic (vwillisjr)

Just making herself comfortable .. (Thomas j)

Striped Het Hypo (panhead)

Sorry folks for another watered down version of the WIR – and I mean that literally - we got quite a bit of rain this morning and our roof was leaking – didn’t have a lot of time to spend on the WIR but since I didn’t get to it last week I figured half asses was better than not at all. Least for those of you that look forward to it. Next week I’ll start a day ahead of time so that I can get it done properly – if you are ever hard up for your WIR fix check out the boa forum on Saturday morning – awesome WIR – much better than mine.

Have a Great Weekend!!!!

This WIR looks good to me. I think you hit the major topics and the beauties that I remember. I'm sorry to hear about your roof. House troubles are a pain.

It's not how many snakes you have. It's how happy and healthy you can keep them.

LOL - Somewhere in the recesses of my mind I think I knew that - which is why I put the Super in ( ). But I do wish someone would take a decent shot of those suckers - if they have I haven't seen it yet.
