Kingsnake ad cliches

markg Mar 03, 2006 07:33 PM

While perusing the "Other Kingsnakes and Milksnakes" classifieds here on ks, I can't help but notice the routinely used cliches. I've offered some translations. Anyone else?

"These would be a nice addition to any collection.."
Translation: These are common but make great pets.

"With heavy feeding they'll go next year.."
Translation: These aren't ready to breed yet.

"Hasn't been proven out.."
Translation: This is not a recessive trait, and you know it.

"Price drop .."
Translation: Please buy these, please, please, please

"If nobody buys these, I'll just keep them and breed them myself.."
Translation: My asking price is too high, I'm just trying to see if anyone will pay it
Alternate translation: If nobody buys these, I'll trade them to a friend for mice.

All in fun.. (I've used those cliches myself)
