Sorry (almost didn't post this older pic), but one way to eliminate a defective animal: Fed this slightly deformed ratsnake to a non-pinky eating kingsnake. I almost didn't do it, because the kingsnake was markedly smaller than the ratsnake. I even thought about killing the ratsnake myself and cutting it in half to make a more manageable meal. But amazingly this little (16" Kingsnake completely ate this ratsnake that was about 3 inches longer & thicker than the kingsnake. If I had a stomach that big, I could eat a young cow by myself! (So much for kingsnakes not being able to swallow prey items bigger then themselves!!!)

Here is a baby Eastern King from 2004 that killed and ate a Broad Banded Watersnake. The Broad Banded was as long as the King itslf but by far more girthy. The snake could hardly move afterand it was its first meal ever. He also kept it down no regurge as well as all of them that ate snakes they all kept them down.

Awesome pics guys. Truly amazing what they can do. It just doesn't seem possible but obviously it is!?!?! Weird, I'd have to see it in person.
