WC Fem Apalachicola King found last week

Sean Mar 03, 2006 08:23 PM

Found this beautiful female Apalachicola King last Saturday in Franklin Co., FL. Here she is the day she was found just going into a shed cycle.

And here she is after she shed today.

Tonite, I put a male that Pierson Hill and I found back in 2003 in with her in hopes they'll do their thing.

Thanks Keith! Here's to hoping she breeds this year and produces some offspring. That pair should make some nice babies!

Incredible Sean. That looks like a classic goini. It is so awesome somebody is restarting those.

Sean Mar 03, 2006 11:11 PM

Yeah she looks like your typical blotched specimen. I think I'm still in awe over finding her. Can't believe it!

She was found under the long piece in the middle:

Not quite warm enough yet to start finding stuff on the roads but I have seen a few things out basking.

Hmmmm, I think Bruce found many back in the day. Probably more than all the getula I've seen in the Apalachicola region. But I'm slowly catching up I guess.

BlueKing Mar 05, 2006 10:39 AM

You're probably right. Sorry, should have read: That's one for you and 0 for Mr. Means for THIS year!!!

I know I have already posted elsewhere on this, but I just can't resist doing so again. Awesome find Sean! I wish you much success with your breeding project. Phil
