For Sara2.. The rest of the pics

If it is a patternless blizzard then I've got triple hets not dbls.. And I bred them myself. Like I said, the blizzard line came from KelliH at Hisss.net. Started out with a blizzard and a het.blizzard... got Goliath who was a blizzard who was mated to Tiki, a pet store tangerine albino I picked up...
Pictures of dbl het parents in this order:
Father
Mother

And then I got the dbl hets which looked like normals.. I have those too as pictures but there's no distinguishing them from normals...

And now more pics of the baby only as links cause they're larger.

Pictures shown are the blizzard father and the tang albino mother (Tremper albino). URL's are the babies that resulted from the pairing of the dbl hets created by the mother and father.

The baby's eyes are the color of a blizzards.. that darkish color with the flecked eyes. I need to borrom my friends Nikon and take better pics..

I have never hatched blizards , but I have never seen a baby blizard with a pattern. I have seen dark babies before and the yellow like this one has, but not the pattern on the head. It looks like a blizard with the paternless baby patern on it's head. Maybe your blizard or your albino is het for paternless. I wonder if anyone else has hatched a blizard like this. You should post it on some other forums, so other more experianced with blizards could give an opinon.

I would be interested to know what temp those blizzards were incubated at.

Lucien Mar 05, 2006 04:52 AM

They were incubated in a hovabator running at 82 degrees steadily. I had them running through a rheostat so I could make sure the temps didn't rise and fall too much and there was always electricity running into the heating coil. So I doubt it had anything to do with the temps. I've hatched perfectly normal blizzards without any head pattern before...and that one picture of the black one with the head pattern... the one who died. He hatched first and his eyes were entirely black.. something I would call a true "Midnight Blizzard" save for the patterning. Instead of losing the patterning his got darker.. so does Charon's.. the one pictured in these photos. I have never seen a baby blizzard with a head pattern before. I hatched out 3 in my first year and not one had a spot on them. And I know KelliH didn't make a mistake because I hatched other blizzards from the same male mated to another het blizzard female.. which came out like a blizzard should. Its wierd. I've never seen it either. They look alot like the Mack Patternless snows Geckos etc came up with this year but the genetics aren't there for it. So I'm at my wits end trying to figure out what they are and hoping the rest of my eggs hatch out the same way so I can have at least a pair of them to raise up and see what I get.
