caging desert lizards - uromastyxs and beardeds ok together?

anndr0id Feb 07, 2003 06:33 PM

I just bought a HUGE cage and have 2 uromastyxs in it (one about 10" & VERY passive, one about 6" & active)
I have 2 beardeds as well (both about 7" one passive the other active.
I am thinking about putting them all in the large cage I just got for more space for the beardeds.
Anyone have thoughts on this? I am not sure if these guys will mix well and can't find any info on them.
Let me know if you have any thoughts!
Thanks!

Don't uros like temps around like 130 or 140? That's too hot for a bd.

Some people have tried it but the main concern is the uro's tail and that it could damage a beardie plus the temps really don't mix uro's like it really hot 120 is like the min(correct?) basking temp for them and for beardies that would be their baking temp. You could try it but really it's not advised
