has anyone here ever seen an albino carpet,or at least heard about one?i heard a rumor lately that a zoo in australia,(don't know which zoo,the rumor wasn't too specific),hatched one out a couple years ago.if that was true,would'nt someone have said something,or at least whipped out a couple photos?can anyone help me w/ this?i mean,there are albino burms,retics,bloods,balls,etc,but no albino morelia?what gives?

There are in fact a few albino Northwestern carpets (Morelia spilota variegata) in Australia. The original albino was caught around Darwin in the Northern Territory. Any hatchlings from OZ have come from this original founder male, so any Zoo stock would have hatched from some of his progeny. They still aren't very common, even in Australia, and the odds of any from this line making it out of OZ anytime soon are extrememly unlikely.

never mind,i found the breeder who owns the original albino(blondie).go to "southernxreptiles.com",he has tons of pics,not only of "blondie",but 2 or 3 generations down the line.thanks,though!

Sorry, I said the founder was a male. She is obviously female.

it's ok,nobody's perfect.that snake is exactly what one would hope an albino carpet would look like.i can only hope that one day someone finds an albino coastal.that would be the perfect albino,not too big,and not some short dumpy python,either.
