Hello all, I have a sub-adult corn that has developed something. The snake frequently seems to sneeze, there is a sharp discharge of air. There is no discharge in the nostrils, and the mouth is clean. It started about when the snake went into shed. Any advice? I have upped the temps, what else to do?

Has the snake shed yet? Sometimes snakes which are about to shed will wheeze due to the extra skin. If the snake is still wheezing post-shed, then I would take it to a vet, but it sounds like the snake is probably just somewhat clogged due to the shed cycle.

I hope someone more knowledgeble also posts, but since i read it I'll give you my take.

Up temps is good, not to far of course. If an upper RI or issue, I take the snake off the aspen I use, it sucks up to much moisture. Paper towels super clean, a bit more humid too.

But since you said it happened afte a shed I'm wondering if it has a nostril shed stuck? Look close, see if you see any shed left over.

good luck

I hope the shed clears it. His eyes cleared this morning so should find out in a day or two.

This morning the snake had shed, and the sneeze was gone. Wasn't a one piece shed, but at least the breathing is ok. I recently switched aspen brands, and this is the first time in 3 years I've seen this, may have to go back to the old stuff.

Aspen does suck out the moisture. You could try misting, or having a humidity hide. The best thing to do, is use the substrate that you are happy with (and of course not harmful to the snakes). Glad things cleared up.
