update on the bp's belly

raisnok Mar 04, 2006 07:56 PM

well i went this afternoon and picked my bp back up from the vet... being that he isnt real knowledgable on herps, he called a vet friend.....
scale rot was what they came up with.....
we started treating it with neosporin, and im happy to say that it is already looking much much better.

Congrats on finding an answer and moving towards getting your little guy better. Did the vet say anything about prevention? Is there a way to keep this problem from repeating?

Thanks,

Bill

It's not how many snakes you have. It's how happy and healthy you can keep them.

well we are assuming what happened was while she was in shed i was misting the entire enclosure 2 times a day..... he said to much moisture could have caused it, so for now she is on paper towels .
the good thing is she is still eating all of this didnt stress her out.
