very nice, how do you cut out the space for the door?

I am curious, where did you pick that clamp up? Also what are they called? I think I need to pick up a couple of those.

Thank you kindly.

Do you know what the name of this type of clamp is? They look extremely handy. I'm jonesing to go pick some up just to tinker with some new KSB enclosure ideas.

Randy,

These are just simple corner clamps. They should be found with the other clamps at your local store.

I have had the same set for years. They are useful.

hunger143 Mar 06, 2006 08:23 PM

you can get the corner clamps at home depot or lowes

Looks very nice. I hear 1/4" is about $100 a 4x8 sheet?

what size is that? 16x16x24?

and how much did that unit cost you.

well the cage is 16x16x24. as for the cost im not sure- i'm a builder ad we had some scrap at our shop that i cut down on a table saw. this one was a pratice cage cause i never glue acrylic together before. As for the door i made a small square frame and clamped it to the piece and routed it out with a 1/8 inch straight bit in my roto zip. the clamp i used is a 90 degree corner clamp about $8 you need 8 of them to do it right. the glue i used was weld on 3 its pretty much an instant bond. now to save me routing and cutting i called a plastic shop in my town and showed him what i want to do told him i want a 16x16x24 box made and also cut the door out for me and he said he will do all that for $60 all i have to do is assemble it. you can also buy hinges and latches from them or online there cheap
