I was wondering if it was possible to find a blizzard with carrot genes. Now I'm still learning, so please no pointing and calling names.

sure it is possible u can get a blizzard with the carrot tail gene! if the dad is a blizzard and the mom a carrot tail, then u can produce a baby that will be a blizzard(but will carry the carrot tail gene from its mother)then u will have a blizzard het for carrot tail!!!! hopes this answers ur question!

A blizzard is a ressesive gene, it can not be expressed unless both parents are carrying the gene. On the other hand, a carrottail is a line bred trait and the morph can be expressed in the first generation even if only one parent carries the genes for being a carrottail, meaning you can't really have a "het" for carrottail, in a sense you can, its usually refered to as "carrying the genes for", but these geckos don't produce as nice of offspring as you would want. What you would want to do if you were to breed a blizzard to a carrottail is buy a screaming carrottail male (this way you have a better chance of getting carrottail offspring in the first breeding) and several female blizzards. All the babies will be het for blizzard, and you would want to the best looking babies (babies with the most carrottail). When you breed the babies together, statisticly you will get a blizzard every four eggs, and you would want to keep the blizzards with the most carrottail (if it even shows up) and selectivly breed from there.

However, considering how hard it is to get the tangerine gene into a patterneless, I think it would be very hard to combine the carrottail gene into the blizzard. A blizzards tail is naturally white, even the banana blizzards (high yellow blizzards) don't show any pigment, in fact I have never heard of seen a blizzard with any color other then white, grey or black on their tail which ususally matches the color of the body. Combining these too genes is more the likly extremely hard to do, if even possible.

We havent seing one yet, but definitely by mating a blizz to a CT you won't get a Blizz, only normals with their genes. np
