New Female!

jjjt4beck Mar 05, 2006 07:58 PM

My husband and I were out at a local pet store browsing today and we came across quite a find.
This is her when we first brought her home:

And this is her all colored up tonight:

She is a bright red and appears to be a female. She was in a cage with 3 hatchlings who were quite a bit smaller. He said they got these guys in November and she was much much smaller then. I weighed her tonight at 15gm. She appears healthy, she's alert, and quite a jumper. I'm assuming she is a girl. I don't see any bulges underneath and she has a thinner tail. What do you all think? What type of morph do you think she might be?

Thanks, Jamie

Maybe some of you remember, I've been having problems with this female's weight. We got her at 11 months old weighing 10grams. We fed her CGD and crickets alternating days and she gained 15grams over the past 6 months! We are hoping to breed her, but waiting for her to reach that magic 35grams.
Here are some pics of her now:

I've had a couple of suggestions to add some waxworms into her diet. I picked up some and she hasn't touched them yet, maybe tonight. The people at the store where we got our other female I showed in the post above had their juveniles on baby food, small crickets, and mealworms? I wasn't too sure about the mealworms. Any tips for getting her to adjust to CGD?

Thanks, Jamie
