in the past we have tried to figure out which pinkskin ally snappers turn into yellow shells as adults. we know the pinkskins are pretty variable. i've bought a couple from P&J's turtlefarm both had a light to dark brown shell as hatchlings and after a year or two their shells are about the same color if not a bit lighter. the two i bought from randleas seem to be different as their skin and shell turns green as it is shedding. the smaller of the two from randleas is lighter in color. his shell is turning from a pastel green to yellow as he gets bigger. here are a few pics of three turtles. the top pic is my 1 1/2 yr old from p&j's. his shell is now 6" and hasn't changed colors.
