Basic requirements include daily misting three times a day, five different types of live food items. screen cage, sunlight,
plants/trees/vines. Once you've picked which type you'll start with, you'll need to get the actual requirements for that species. Start checking various care sheet posts. Jacksons, veilds, Panthers are the three main beginners choices. Panthers are typically more expensive than the other two. Veilds are the more agressive, but also the hardiest. Jacksons are vary timid. shy, a little harder to care for. None are people freindly in the sense that you can hold them, place them on your shoulder, handle them as you would other reptiles, etc. The internet is full of sites dedicated to these chams, their care, keeping, and sale of. Start your surfing at chameleon ads withen kingsnake. You'll find all the info you need to make your decision.

Hi keith,
John of Chameleon Paradise has a lot of good info on his site. He also checks into this forum frequently. So for now go to his Do's and Don't page (linked below) and then poke around his site.

Other excellent sites are AdCham:www.adcham.com/

Chameleon News www.chameleonnews.com/

And Kammerflage Kreations (very reputable breeders)www.calumma.com/

so check it all out and come back with questions. You'll get a lot of good info here! (BTW, try not to post the same message 3 times LOL! )

Read, Read, Read. In addition to the websites out there I would suggest you start a library of chameleon care books.
