An "agalma" is a sub-species of the California Mountain Kingsnake. They are native to two small mountain ranges south of the border in Baja California, Mexico. The scientific name would be lampropeltis zonata agalma. Beautiful snakes that often exhibit red on their head unlike most other sub-species of California Mtn. Kings.
