First tiime breeding a success!!

Kevin_Ivens Mar 06, 2006 10:16 AM

Hey All!!

It has been exciting reading these forums...I always look forward to the end of the day where I can find myself drooling over some of the photos of animals you can only dream about owning one day or producing!!

I've been a fan of the boa since I was a kid. I've had dozens of pet snakes, but I finally decided to fulfill a growing need within me, and bought a pair of breeders last August from Pro Exotics. Female is a 27 lb DH Snow and the male is a Snow. Beautiful Animals!!

I paired them in late November, and boy that Male didn't get an ounce of rest. I witnessed multiple copulations, and she had her ovulation on 1-26 and her POS on 2-15. Right now she is HUGE!! She's got her tummy angled to the side from time to time so you can really see some bulges

Anyhow, I'm excited as this is my first breeding and hopefully I'll get a full litter of healthy babies! I'll post some more pictures of her.

Next year should be a great year. I bought some magnificent animals from some great breeders...Jeff Gray, the nicest guy I ever talked to on the phone...Pete Kahl, Barry Berg, Mark Miller and Chris Nicholas. These guys have been more than helpful and have provided me with some magnificent animals!!

Good luck to y'all this season!! Thanks for reading.

K.I.

btw...i am really terrible at taking pictures...hopefully they will get better!!!!!!!!!

Sounds like you really jumped in hard and heavy, I hope you have a beautiful successful litter from them.
