Are there any pure albino black rat snakes just in case I find an all black melinistic and want to breed it to an albino to produce an all white snow from melanistic.

I can't say how "pure" it is, but here's a picture of my solid white, albino black rat.

When I envision a melanistic black rat I see no white at all.Not even on the belly.I am not aware that they exist. But if they do,they are probably crossed with mexican black kings L.O.L.!

Yes my quest is to find a completely black specimin no white at all. I saw the snake that Dawn caught and it had no red highlights and looks axanthic but I have not seen an all black specimin as of yet but I am looking. When you have hundreds to choose from something is bound to turn up.

Hey there,

Here is the latest pics of "Sam". You will notice a very thin Pink line of color developing in the underscales on one side of him here , other than that he is still lacking in any red pigment. He is growing fast now and maybe will eventually catch up with his "woman to be" which I have also pictured below.

Here is a white albino...It's NOT leucistic. It has really nice light pink markings that are very faded.

Mine are het for white phase but I am yet to prove them out. Maybe in 07 though. Here is a pic of their mother from the breeder.
