when should you start handling them?I have had mine for about a week now.The last couple of days i have been trying to hold him.He kinda runs away he only lets me hold him for a few seconds and then runs out of my hand.Today when i tried to hold him he tried to bite me it looked like.Is it that i have tried to handle him to frequently?

A week is not very long, I'm sure your Leo is still getting use to his/her new surroundings. I'd just let it get use to my hand in the tank for another week or 2. Put your hand near enough that it can sniff & lick it. Then start trying to coax it onto my hand. Then you can start raising your hand slowly with it on there, it will eventually get use to it and not simply jump off and run
