ringneck from last year

billysbrown Mar 07, 2006 10:40 AM

Hi,

The forum seems kind of slow, so I thought I'd post a catch from last year. I found this one October 10th in northern Berks Co., PA. It was under a rock along a ridge top in damp weather in the 60s. The area around the rock is forest, chock full of redback and slimy salamanders, so it makes sense for there to be a good population of ringneck snakes too.

As you can see in the pic, I did not bother to clean off the snake after it had crapped all over the both of us.

Cheers,
Billy
