I just recieved my bulk order of crickets and I am going to put them in a rubbermaid container as suggested. Can you tell me approx. how many holes are needed for the top so they can breathe? Is that a stupid question??? Thanks!

As long as you've got a decent size rubbermaid, 50qt or larger, you don't need or really want a lid. The biggest killer of crix is lack of ventillation. Go topless, they'll live longer lol.

do you have an old window screen in your basement that you have no idea what window it even goes to? you can just drop it right on top. If you want it to be a little bit more secure then you can cut a large hole in the top of the rubbermaid container and duct tape the screen. it will look a little bit better if you tape it from the inside. but then and again, it is a cricket cage....not like you are going to be showcaseing it.
going topless wouldn't hurt either (LOL). the crickets won't be able to jump out.
