Help, please?

Hello,
Can someone please tell me what is involved in getting a venemous permit/license in the state of New York? (I.E. Costs, time involved) I realize I should probably just call fish and game but I am currently only 17 and won't be able to go for the permit until I am 18 so I figured I wouldn't waste their time.

Thanks for your time,
Ralph

You need to call fish and wildlife..... Tell them you want to apply to get a venomous permit... They will send you an application in the mail..... They are going to ask very spacific questions on why you wish to keep venomous snakes...... If you do not have the right answers you will not get the permit.... If you live in the city you will not get the permit..... If you are not 18 you will not get the permit..... As of now there is no cost but that will change.... You will need to reapply every year also...... And no, I will not give you the answers to the questions.....LOL

LOL, That's alright I think I'll be able to swing my way into getting the permit. I'm a pretty intelligent, well read guy. I have good gramatical/spelling skills and I can write pretty good. For example lets just say the first question is: Why would you like to keep venemous snakes?

Answer: I would like to keep venemous snakes due to the fact that I am a dedicated herpetoculturist, and would like to further my knowledge by observing these reptiles in their true un-altered form and or state.

So anywho hopefully I'll get the permit, if not, oh well.

it's kind of funny...you said you are a good speller, and then you misspelled venomous...twice....when you are in the venomous forum...lol

not meant to be a personal attack, but I couldn't help but laugh...

good luck with your permit...

you need to contact the Department of Environmental Conservation... Fish and Wildlife is a federal institution. But the rest of gaboonkeeper's post is correct.

lol Guess I should have used spell check on that when I wrote it. But I was writing it really late at night. And the funny thing is I actually thought I was spelling it wrong as I was writing it but I was too lazy to check the spelling, oh well lol.
