The pollen in the gutload is bee pollen. The bees produce it from the pollen and it is loaded with vitamins and even has natural antibiotic properties. It is different than just pollen from a flower in that it is processed by the bees.
I don't know exactly what they do to it (they just won't tell me LOL)
