Quick Lystrophis question

BChambers Mar 07, 2006 07:08 PM

One of my females is heavily gravid and going into a shed cycle (when I hold her up all stretched out, it looks like she swallowed a line of marbles lol). What's the approximate interval between the pre-lay shed and oviposition in tricolors? Oh-and what incubation temps have you all been using, and what incubation period resulted?

Thanks!
Brad Chambers

Mine lay their eggs only a few days after their pre egg laying shed, but sometimes up to 10 day after. I incubate mine at about 80 to 82 degrees and they hatch in about 70 days. good luck and lets see some pics!

She will lay usually between 6-10 days, make sure you have a nice deep laying box filled with damp moss peat and check for eggs twice daily as they have a habit of depositing them in any thing except the egg box!!. I incubate at 80f and they take between 70-80 days, i have incubated both on perlite and vermiculite with no real difference in results.
