Hello,

It's very likely a uric acid 'stone' (ball). In my opinion, it's common with this group of pythons. They urinate liquid on a more regular basis, then pass the 'stone' usually around defication time which can be quite a long time! You can always try posting a pic if possible.

Hey,
I agree with Matt, the hard mass like obstruction you feel around the cloaca, is usually a urate stone. They will pass with defecation or on its own. Try a good long soak in warm water. Sometimes causes them, the blood, to have a bm. Nothing to worry about.

My blood (just recently bought 4 days ago)ate the first night I had her, which was Sunday. Now it's wednesday and she still hasn't pooped. I'm assuming this is normal? I'm just used to my Kingsnakes, where they have a movement basically the day after they eat.

My blood is about 9 months old, had her since she was a hatchling. She has only pooped two or three times since I've had her. From what I understand this is normal in bloods. When they go though, they really go.

Hey,
Don't sweat it! they can hold if for weeks and even months before they have their first BM. Give them a good size soaking dish, or spray them once daily with warm water from a spray bottle and this helps elicit at least a more frquent or regular bm, than normal, or if you didn't do either of the above.
