Studs

Hi, we are buying a DH Sunglow Male & a Het albino Female. Since this is our 1st year, we wanted to increase our clutch however we can. I suggested studdign him out to an albino. My girlfriend seems to think that is a horrible idea.

Im not sure if you can have the male breed twice in one season or if thats a bad idea? I was thinking maybe cool our male and girl a month or 2 early, and make surethey get done breeding, then move him into the cage with someone elses female, and breed him to her too. I assumed we would take him out and feed him every 2 weeks or so durring breeding.(thats what the last owner does)

He is about 6.5ft, and kept decently lean if that makes a difference.

If proper quarantine procedures are followed it would take much more then 2 months to loan a male out. But yes males can readily breed more then 1 female in a season. I have personally witnessed a male that courted 4 females all at (all kept in a community breeding enclosure) with 3 of the 4 producing litters.
