Has anyone ever used the Bayco Cordless 12V worklight?
I picked one up at Home Depot and it seems pretty cool. It is basically a Stubby sized fluorescent with the same bulb, but runs off a rechargeable battery.
Furthermore you can charge it with a 12V cigarette lighter or a 120v adapter, both of which are provided.
With its battery attached it weighs about the same as the regular stubby II, but there are no cords and no 12V battery to lug along. Seems damn convenient.
The downside is a charge only last 2 hours, but you could charge it in the car (it says in one hour) while doing some driving, or just use it with a battery after it peters out. I don't know if you can buy the rechargeable battery packs separately or not.
Here's a link to a picture of the light -
