Lichanura22 Jul 28, 2003 12:02 AM

misc. gecko? They were selling them at Texas Lizard connection and I wanted more information on them. Any feeding, breeding or general care info is much appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
The incredibly stupid (and dumb)Aaron Nigro.

That still doesn't help me with breeding or general care info. Also, should I just set up a simple thermal gradient for em?

Thanks again,

...a "house" gecko. I don't think there's such thing as a "miscellaneous gecko," the pet store probably just didn't know what kind of species it was.

You can browse photos here to see if you can find the species you saw in the store. Most "house geckos" are from the Hemidactylus, Cosymbotus, Gekko, or Sphaerodactylus genus.

Whichever species of house gecko this is, care is similar to practically all of them, except maybe a few minors variations in temperature or humidity (but they're typically quite hardy, too). My website below has a caresheet for Cosymbotus platyurus, an Asian species of house gecko, that are sort of general guidelines for most species.

These are the other geckos listed under the "Misc." heading. Phelsuma klemmeri is the only species under this heading.
