Was at a friends today & her whites on one hind leg is looking real bad. Was in a water setup & the last two nights has been trying to breed with another frog. She said the last few nights it was getting on top of another whites & the other frog would drag them both around. I thought this was a female , but , she said this one was the one on top. Thought females were big, like way bigger than males ? Can you tell by their ears at all ? Anyway, couldn't get pics , but , the cuts are right on the knee area where it bends & under the leg & on the outter (looking down at the frog) area of the leg. Both seep blood a tad & the one on the knee is bad & maybe to the bone (can't tell). I do see pinkish flesh on the top back part of the leg.
I helped her put it in a dry setup. Ten gal. , paper towels, water dish, light with temp at 85. I put some Neosporin on both areas before I left.
Wanting to know if the temps should be higher, if Neosporin is fine to be using or anything else, & how often to be applying ? Any other advice would be great.
Not sure how this happened & it looks nasty. The leg is also swelled some.
