This is my male.

This is my large female. I think she is about 5 inches, snout to vent!

The poor thing, you have overfed it. It will probably die early because of its obesity, give it a diet. Don't feed it a lot to try and get it large.

oh my god, you are supposed to take care of your pets, so that they thrive and live a good life. Not see hot fat you can get them before they die!

If I were you, I'd post your feeding schedule, and let us have a go and what you should be feeding them and how often. Your male is going to be just as blind as your female if you keep up this diet. It's just not cute! its horrible.

Well, actually, the male weight has been stable, so he's been like that ever since I got him. When I first got him from Petco, he was very skinny. I don't think he's gaining more weight. He would only eat one large cricket a day, so I tried to feed him everday because he is so small comapare to the female. She's only developed the lobe above her eyes only several months ago, and she's not blind. She is sleeping when I took the photo...the light in the room was still on. I've tried cutting down her food. I feed her every 3-4 days now. They eat mostly crickets, and that's what they have eating for quite sometime. When they were younger, I occassionally give them mice pinkies every 2 weeks or once a month.

How much do you guys feed your WTF'S? It's the same with the female. When I first got her, she was just a juvenile and very thin. I got the male before her, so I guess he is older. He was fully grown when I got him, and she was just a juvy.

well I only feed both frogs once every three days, about eight or nine crickets get dropped into the cage, and I try to powder them once a week (the crickets of course). I occasionally will feed them mealworms, but only one frog eats them, she loves em (i'm now back to my original conclusion that my second frog is female) If your male was still a juvy when you got him, its good that you fed him everyday, but now it seems that he has reached adult size, so you can feed him everyother day or so. Frogs in the wild don't eat everyday, and even if they do, they work it off by hunting and moving around. No more pinky mice for your frogs for a long while, they are very high in fat content and aren't a necessary staple of your frog's diet.

I have a Whites that I got as a juvinile that I have had for about 6 years now. I feed him mostly crickets and sometimes mealworms and other varieties of insects and he might get three crickets 3 times a week at the most. I feed him an ocassional pinkie maybe 2-4 times a year. During the winter when the house is a little colder an the frog isnt so active I may go a week or so without feeding.
Sorry everyone came down on you, but you should cut way back on feeding them. Cool pics anyway thanks for sharing them. I hope you dont feel sorry you did now.

the males are generally smaller than the females.

Yeah, those are cool white's treefrogs, just cut back the food a little on the fat one and then it will be fine.

Don't they remind you of Kirmitty frog from "The Muppets"...especially the smaller male?
