First Shed

Nighthawk_ Mar 09, 2006 03:37 PM

Ok, so it's not her first, but her first since I got her. She hatched on February 23, and I'm guessing she's had atleast 1 shed. She hasen't started yet, but her skin is looking opaqueish, and thats how my old anoles looked before they shed. So what should I do besides keep it a bit more humid? I heard that their toes can get pulled off if all the shed on their toes dosent come off. If they do, do they grow back like their tails?

no toes don't grow back...unfortanitly...my little guy has lost a few do to bad sheds, since i have changed several things about his home, when i notice monty starting to shed i add an extra humid hide so he has two to choose from and since no bad sheds...good luck

You shouldnt have to do anything. If you provide proper housing for the indevidual this should be uneventfull. I have yeat to have any problems with iether of mine shedding and in close to 2 years with Kirmy I have yet to have to asist her. Maybe luck maybe not I dont know.

Ok thanks a ton! About how many days will she be sheding for when she starts? Shes about 2 1/2 inches long. Also, what is a shed box? I'm guessing it's a humid hide kinda like thing, but wanna make sure. Thanks.
