Silvery eyes & bluish tinge on head?

TacomaUte Mar 09, 2006 10:34 PM

My ball pythons eyes have started looking kind of steely, whereas they used to be quite black, also in certain light the skin on the head doesnt look quite right and has a slight bluish tinge to it.

He had a perfect shed 2 weeks ago and is eating well and seems otherwise healthy.

Should I be concerned?

I am fairly new to bps and snakes in general but we have had our collection for 6 months that said. how old is your bp? I have recorded at least once a month or so our bps shed. they are all under a year mid to late 05. So it sounds like your bp is just going into its shed cycle or blue period. IMHO hope this helps

He's a little over a year old. He sheds about every 6 or 7 weeks. He shed perfectly 2 weeks ago. This looks different then when he is getting ready to shed. I'll try and figure out how to post a picture on here when I get a chance.

...now the eyes are starting to have a wrinkled or slightly indented look. Could it be that the eye cap did not shed last time? If so, any suggestions on how to safely remedy this.

Thanks again
