There have some post and comments that hets look better than normals. When looking at a group of possible hets, the better looking snakes are the hets, according to the post and comments. Hopefully this season I will be able to compare some 100% hets to some of last seasons 50% possible hets and comment on this topic.
As far as hets looking like the visual. Seriously, do you think that John Piro would have made a mistake and given you ghost/hypos as hets? Not likely!
That said, when it comes to ghost/hypos, they are not all created equal. There are different degrees of hypomelanism. Just look at all the pics of ghost/hypos in the classifieds and in this forum.
Look forward to seeing your pics.

I know he wouldnt have made a mistake like that BUUUT he did tell me from the get go when i first started paying on them that the particular ghost that fathered or mothered these hets are known to throw a co-dominant like trait for this particular line of orange ghost in the hets, and I saw it instantly as i was opening snake bags. i was like the first was normal looking, then the second OMG that is awesome, the 3rd is in shed then the fourth another OMG.
you have to see it to believe it its incredible

Our NERD line Orange Ghost Hets all are actually very orangeish and vibrant as young. They are clearly distinguishiable from normals in the group. This lasts about 2 years then you'd be hard pressed to see any difference. This is our only line that does this...so at least from this experience yes it is possible your het hypos look a little different.
