Forget coming out of the closet......

rainbowsrus Mar 10, 2006 05:33 PM

My babies are going in!!

I remodeled the closet in my snake room into a full blown nursery.

In the middle are three of the boaphile 30 slot hatchling racks. Each will eventually have it's own helix thermostat, the top rack does not have it's own yet. Currently only using the middle one. I even wired in a new outlet so there would not be extension cord(s) exiting the closet and added an overhead fluorescent light.

On the left and right are my newly constructed 20 slot racks based on sterilite 1754 tubs, should be good for yearlings. Rhose will also habe their own thermostats eventually.

Pretty cool huh? Let's see your setups/facilities!!!!!!

Nice setup.I have nothing anywhere near as organized LOL. Just a set of cheapo aluminum shelvings you can buy at Walmart. I hate them though, horrible to put together, and about as sturdy as tissue paper...till you get it all aseembled..even then I am sure it won't take weight for long. Soon, will replace it with wooden shelves and proper heating, will need more space soon, plan to buy at least one more rainbow this summer, probably a pair or more ball pythons and maybe a rat snake, since I recently acquired one.

what organization looks like.......

We just moved a couple of weeks ago and I my reptile room still hasn't fully recovered.

Moving gravid boas and a couple of hundred colubrid eggs was a nightmare and I still can't seem to get unburied.....

Your set up, however, looks great......I have the same boaphile racks, and I'm really impressed with them.

I'm just getting organized!! My reptile room was always a combination of home office, reptile room and depository of all things unwanted in the rest of the house.

It's all Mike's (flavor) fault, I went over to his house to check out his hypo BRB's and was so impressed with his setup I had to change over my reptile room. All the home office and most of the other stuff is now gone/relocated. Only thing left is a pair of foldup tables I store behind one of the cage stacks.
