I have a question! How long do your beardies brumate each winter? I know I'm asking something that everybody should know by now, but this is my first bearded dragon that I've just aquired several months ago. Mine has been sleeping for about 3 months now. Is this normal, or do some sleep even longer than this.

mine can sleep for 4 months...i just got MVB for all the cages and now they are up and basking away.

2-4 months is normal for bearded dragons. As long as your dragon isn't dropping alot of weight or looking dehydrated or otherwise unhealthy, then 3 months is fine. At any sign of ill health or alot of weight loss, then you don't want to leave them brumate, warm them up and bring everything back up to normal day time lengths and temperatures. If the dragon is still lathargic etc, after a few days doing this,a vet check will be needed.

If not loosing much weight and pretty much looking like a dragon normally looks when sleeping during the night, then everything is fine.

Yes my beardie has lost a lot of weight! I dont know if hes still in brumation, because he hasnt been eatting for a while. But it seems as though is awake..?? For example he is up and hyper, but then a couple minutes later he is back to sleeping..??

what is MVB? Also can I wake my beardie? Mine has been sleeping for 3 months. He was in and out of sleep(brumation) and now he has stayed in hiding for 3 months.

Should I mist him ? IS there anything I should provide him during this period?

How low can the temps go during this period?
