Was it worth newborn from a pet shop 210$ canadian?

Hmm... I would probably say no...

A snake like that would go for about $100 at the most in the U.S.

Agreed...a few years ago an aberrant king like that might get $250 or more, but EVERYBODY is producing Cal King morphs, price is now very low.

i was calling mine a rev. striper but it really is not. a rev striper has only one stripe. i spoke to some breeders and they say to call it a high white or a tri striper. i have a few of these in my collection and i have seen them sell for around 110.00 and up. they are becoming more common and the price will go down. very nice snake i'm glad you shared it.
thanks jason wilson

I bought mine 6 years ago as a Banana for $25 at a local show. But, from some of the more recent posts about the banana trait being more yellow, I'm not really sure what to call them? Another thing about these (or mine at least) is, their pigment seems to vary depending on the lighting you see them in. Here's some pics of mine to show what I mean......

Is to take them outside away from indoor lighting, not necessarily in direct sunlight, but in a little shade.

When I have a hard time taking pics of snakes and not getting their true colors, I will take their pics outside right before sunset with a flash depresser.

One thing I noticed when taking them outside (including my albino snow/blizzard) is that the yellows seem to come out more. I can't decide if this is because of the full spectrum lighting, or if the yellow pigment actually darkens to absorb more heat. They also seem to keep much of this tint after you bring them back inside for a little time. Do you find the same thing happening in your "coastal" or offwhite Cali's when exposed to sunlight?

I've never noticed them retaining any more color once brought in.

Bannana refers to a snake that is completely yellow. Yours looks white so it would be a high white. It is not a reverse stripe. I have sometimes heard that morph called a racing stripe. As far as price, that might have been a little high but the prices everyone else quoted you were breeder prices. Any time you buy a snake in a pet store the price is going to be a little inflated. I would say that if you even found a high white snake like that in a US pet store you could easily pay over $150 US.
