A Hovabator is simply a brand of incubator. They are very good low cost incubators. I have used the same one now for 5 years, stuffing it full each season with containers of eggs.

I use a home made incubator that I made fairly cheep. I have yet to put any eggs in it so I don’t know how good it works but the idea is there. I use a 3 gallon bucket. Drill holes in the top. Put a fully submersible fish tank heater suction cupped to the bottom of it, put 1 half brick on each side of the heater, put your egg container on the bricks, fill the bucket with water just until the water touches the bottom of the egg container. Put the lid on the bucket and check every half hour or so until you get to the desired temp. raise the setting on the heater until you get there. Then all you have to do is occasionally add a wee pit of water to compensate for that evaporates from the holes in the lid.
