A question about cohabitation (med gecko and leopard)

MrBlueSnake Jul 28, 2003 07:44 AM

I just caught a Mediterranean Gecko and I am wondering if it would be ok to put it in with my leopard gecko? I know some geckos can be territorial, especially the males, and I don't want to run into any problems between the two. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

*sigh* I wonder if any of the other boards get the same amount of these types of questions this one does.

No. Mediterranean geckos come from a forest habitat, leopard geckos come from the desert. Mixing them, regardless of whether one is territorial or not, would not work because you cannot create a habitat where both lizards' needs are met.

Yeah the first step is to research the basic facts about the lizard. Temperature and humidity is a good place to start. Those 2 guys are way off on each of those ratings thus cannot even survive together. Making a proper habitat for one kills the other. A leopard and a bearded dragon however...........just kidding.
