or has she got a problem. I have a young rock that for some reason can't quite grasp the technique of swallowing. Instead of using her jaws to creep up the preys body and then using her neck muscles to grasp and draw the prey further down her throat she simply pushes the prey item up against something to push it down. Is this weird or what?

The smarter ones do this. My friends tiapan just drags the rat around the cage moving up it's body very slowly...pretty funny to watch.

you are not over reacting. i just got reed of a 15 foot 100 pound rock python and that is just how he would do.
she's wasting alot of energy this way. It's comical, but looks like alot of work.
