question, housing juv. caimans with small snakeheadturtles

mark_oijen Jul 28, 2003 08:26 AM

i would like to try housing 1 year old palpebrosus with small (about 7 cm carapace) Chelodina siebenrocki. these turtles do however have very long necks. from what i ve been told this should not be a very aggressive species. does anyone have any experience housing such turtles together with caimans

from what i've read i wouldn't chance it... its not just that the caiman may bite the turtle but theres almost always cases where the turtle will cause missing toes and tips of the tale on your caiman..hope this helps
