waterdragon6 Mar 12, 2006 12:40 AM

I was wondering if there were any geckos that could live in a 15 or 20 gal fish tank.

Are you looking for terrestrial or arboreal? There are many species that if housed singly, would do fine in that size of tank.

Yes there are. I currently have a very beautiful leopard gecko named Sassy, Or sasinator. In a very nive 20 gal fish tank. She is doing fine all I do is get the right kind of thin grained sand water bowl log and a rock house for her to sleep in. I have a lightsourece and all I do is buy a screen top and you're set!

I think you are talking about a Giant Madagascar Day Gecko. You could keep a youngster in a 20 long for a while as he grows up, but they are best suited in a tall tank because they are climbers. The best geckos for a 20 long are ground dwelling geckos such as Leopard Geckos or Pictus (Madagascar Ground Geckos). You could keep more than one of these geckos in a 20 long. There are tons of different morphs of Leopard Geckos available (like these baby Tremper Albinos)) so I think you could find one or two that would interest you.
